A select group of students from Classes 10 and 12 of Sacred Heart School, Siliguri, recently completed a transformative four-day expedition to Sandakphu, West Bengal’s highest peak. Led by their teachers, the trek offered more than just panoramic views of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest—it became a journey of endurance, friendship, and learning.
Braving snow-covered trails and chilly winds, students engaged in activities that encouraged teamwork, resilience, and a love for nature. Evening bonfires, storytelling under the stars, and the thrill of high-altitude trekking made this adventure a cherished memory beyond the classroom.
This expedition reflected the school’s commitment to holistic education, where growth happens in every direction, not just upwards.
