Mr. Prafullamani Pradhan
Principal
With an M.A. in both Economics and English, and a B.Ed., Mr. Prafullamani Pradhan brings over 25 years of dynamic leadership and educational expertise to Sacred Heart School. His journey began at St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling, as a House Master, followed by influential roles at Assam Valley School, where he served as both Head of Department and House Master. His career is marked by excellence in academic innovation and school development.
As the Principal of Ashok Hall Girls Residential School and Confluence World School (part of the prestigious Sri Ram School network in Delhi), Mr. Pradhan led transformative changes that propelled Ashok Hall to be ranked the 4th best Girls' Residential School in India by the Educational World Survey in 2014.
Since joining Sacred Heart School in 2018, Mr. Pradhan has steered the school through pivotal milestones, including its successful transition to digital learning during the pandemic. He has also fostered a vibrant residential school culture, ensuring the school’s environment remains a hub for academic and extracurricular excellence.
An advocate for holistic development, Mr. Pradhan's expertise in strategic planning, teacher development, and student-centric initiatives has led to remarkable academic results and prestigious student placements. His passion for dramatics, trekking, and photography further enriches his vision for creating a well-rounded, stimulating school experience. Under his leadership, Sacred Heart School continues to thrive as a center of innovation and growth.
His contributions to education have earned him the Best District Principal Award in 2020, and a Certificate of Recognition from the International Award For Young People in 2022.
Mr. Anil Gupta
Director & President
As the President and Director of Sacred Heart School, Siliguri, Mr. Anil Gupta has been instrumental in transforming the institution into one of the region's most respected schools. His leadership has guided the school through significant milestones, expanding its infrastructure, enhancing the quality of education, and fostering a vibrant learning environment for students and staff alike. His journey in Education began in 1997.
Sacred Heart School was established in the year 1997 in Kurseong in a rented house. Under Mr. Gupta’s visionary leadership, Sacred Heart School has grown to accommodate over 500 students and 150 staff members on a sprawling campus with modern facilities. His hands-on approach and dedication have made him a highly respected figure among the school community, where he is regarded as a true mentor and guide.
In 2011, the boys' wing of Sacred Heart School was relocated to Siliguri for better facilities, followed by the girls' wing in 2013. Since then, the school’s new location in Siliguri has flourished within a short span of years, with immense potential for further growth as it is ideally located in a fast-growing city and upcoming educational hub. As the school continues to thrive, Mr. Gupta remains committed to providing quality education to future generations, taking on greater responsibilities as the institution evolves.
An advocate of educational excellence, Mr. Gupta has actively contributed to regional and national educational associations. He has held several responsible posts on the board of the Association of Heads of Listed Schools (AHLIS) in Darjeeling. He has also served as Joint Vice President of the Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC). He was the Founding Secretary of A.H.I.S.C.S (Association of Heads For The Indian School Certificate Schools), North Bengal Region. His influence and leadership have significantly strengthened these organizations.
Mr. Gupta has been awarded with the prestigious Thank Badge for this social involvement with the Scouts of West Bengal State Association, Bharat Scouts and Guides in a ceremony held in Governor's Palace Kolkata by the Governor of West Bengal.
A successful entrepreneur and an eminent educationalist in the region, Mr. Gupta’s vision and dedication for Sacred Heart School and has set a high standard for academic excellence and holistic development in education.
Ms. Priyakee Gupta Agarwal
Co-director
An advocate turned educator, Priyakee Gupta Agarwal seamlessly blends legal expertise, counseling, and teaching to shape the future of Sacred Heart School. As the Associate Director, she leads the K-12 ICSE and ISC boarding school in Siliguri, dedicating herself to the well-being and development of her students. Living on campus 24/7, Priyakee fosters a close-knit community where learning and personal growth thrive.
A proud alumna of St. Helen’s Convent, Kurseong, Loreto College, Darjeeling, and North Bengal University Law College, Priyakee's educational journey reflects her commitment to excellence. Her passion for public speaking has earned her accolades, including the title of Best Speaker at a district-level Lions Club event. She continues to hone her communication skills as a member of Toastmasters International, where she has won numerous public speaking contests.
Beyond academics, Priyakee is deeply invested in instilling core values in her students, believing that true education goes hand-in-hand with a strong moral foundation. She advocates for the integration of spirituality into daily life, affirming that it is key to leading a happier and more fulfilling existence.
Under her leadership, Sacred Heart School is not just an institution but a nurturing environment where students are empowered to grow into responsible, compassionate individuals.
Mr. Achintya Gupta
Associate Director
Achintya Gupta brings a global perspective and a passion for innovation to Sacred Heart School as Associate Director. He completed his schooling at Don Bosco School, Siliguri, with ISC in Commerce, before pursuing higher education in Sociology at the University of Edinburgh, UK.
His teaching journey began in London, where he taught Social Sciences in two schools as part of his training from University College London’s Institute of Education. After returning to Sacred Heart School as an English and Social Science teacher, Achintya also ventured to Mumbai to explore his passion for filmmaking. He brings a creative and techincal edge to his role in education.
Achintya believes that in an ever-evolving world, education must continuously adapt to stay relevant. As Associate Director, his vision is to invest in innovative projects that empower students to realize their full potential and become the best versions of themselves.
