Date: 18th and 19th September,
Sacred Heart School organised its first-ever Youth Parliament, Future Leaders’ Summit 2026, on 18th and 19th September. The two-day intra-school event gave our students an opportunity to experience the proceedings of a parliamentary session, express their views, and engage with important issues through discussion and debate.
The event was graced by Mr. Tarun Kedia, Digital Content Creator and Political/Social Issues Commentator, as the Chief Guest on Day 1. A Siliguri-based digital content creator, Mr. Kedia’s work focuses on Indian politics, geopolitics and social issues, with a combined online audience of over 3 million.
On Day 2, the event was graced by Mr. Tekendra Pradhan, Additional District Judge (Retired) and presently President of the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission (DCDRC), Siliguri, with additional charge of DCDRC, Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
The students participated with great energy and enthusiasm, taking on different parliamentary roles and presenting their arguments with confidence. The event encouraged them to listen to different perspectives, think critically and understand the importance of informed discussion and responsible leadership.
The event was organised with the guidance and support of Mr. Niloy Hait, Ms. Sanjeevani Tamrakar, Mrs. Indrani Goswami, Ms. Sambita Saha and Ms. Nivedita Singha.

Future Leaders’ Summit 2026 provided our students with a platform to step into the roles of young parliamentarians, engage in meaningful discussions and gain a practical understanding of parliamentary proceedings. The event was a valuable learning experience that encouraged students to develop confidence, articulate their ideas and appreciate the importance of dialogue and responsible leadership.
