The team sports program includes football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, and table tennis. Beyond formal competitions, students are encouraged to participate in wellness activities such as yoga, cardio, and strength training. These programs promote fitness, reduce stress, and support a balanced approach to overall well-being.
At Sacred Heart School, sports extend beyond the field. They nurture friendships, build resilience, develop leadership, and instill perseverance, all while encouraging fair play, healthy competition, and a lifelong love for learning and growth.
clubs
Clubs are the heart of student life, providing spaces where students can pursue their interests, discover new talents, and connect with peers. With opportunities spanning academics, creativity, leadership, and service, each club helps students build confidence, develop skills, and contribute to the school community.
The academic clubs such as the Science Club, Mathletes, and Debate Team encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and intellectual exploration through competitions, experiments, and discussions.
The creative and innovation-focused clubs give students the chance to express themselves and develop new ideas. The Film-making Club, Nine Tanks, inspires young storytellers to bring their vision to life on screen, while the Robotics Club offers hands-on experience in design, programming, and engineering.

arts
We believe the arts are an essential part of education, providing every student with the opportunity to explore creativity and express their individuality. By fostering imagination and innovation, we help young learners build confidence, develop new skills, and share their unique perspectives with the world.
The visual arts department features modern studios where students can experiment with a variety of mediums, including painting, crafts, digital art, and filmmaking. Annual exhibitions highlight their creativity, transforming student work into moments of pride for the entire school community.

Dance troupes and theater clubs provide further opportunities to shine on stage and develop a love for performance.
For those drawn to writing, creative writing workshops and the literary magazine offer platforms to craft stories, poems, and essays that capture their thoughts and imagination.
Through visual, performing, and literary arts, students are guided to express themselves fully, gain confidence in their abilities, and celebrate the joy of creativity.
Outdoor Activites
At our school, outdoor activities go far beyond recreation. They are designed to enrich students with experiences that build character, resilience, and a deeper connection to the world beyond the classroom. One of our longest-standing traditions is the annual trek to Sandakphu for Class 10 students. Since 2002, this journey to the highest peak in West Bengal has challenged learners both physically and mentally, teaching them to adapt to changing altitudes, push their limits, and embrace basic survival skills. For Class 12 students, the adventure intensifies with the more demanding trek to Phalut, introduced just a few years ago. Often considered the final trip they take together as a class, it is not only a test of endurance and teamwork but also a deeply emotional experience as they reflect on their shared journey and prepare for life beyond school.

We also believe in connecting classroom learning with real-world exposure. Students regularly visit manufacturing units such as tea factories and paper mills, where they observe how raw materials are transformed into finished products. Guided by professionals who explain each stage of the process, these visits provide practical insight into industrial operations. This year, the program is being extended to include visits to banking institutions, giving students a foundational understanding of financial systems and services. This addition strengthens the link between academic concepts and their real-world applications.
Further enriching outdoor education is the school’s active participation in the International Award for Young People (IAYP), a globally recognized initiative that promotes holistic growth. Through skill development, community service, physical activities, and adventurous journeys, students work toward internationally accredited awards. The program fosters independence, responsibility, and self-confidence, shaping learners into well-rounded individuals who are prepared for the future.
