With 12 years of experience as an English teacher in Intermediate and Senior schools, Mr. Sangharsh Chettri has developed a deep understanding of educational practices and student needs. His career includes roles such as Assistant Lecturer, Assistant Junior Coordinator, and Level Manager of an Intermediate School. For the past three years, he has successfully served as the Activity Coordinator at Sacred Heart School.
Mr. Chettri’s leadership and organizational skills have consistently contributed to the academic and extracurricular success of the institution. He is dedicated to creating a dynamic and inclusive environment that fosters student engagement, personal growth, and a strong sense of community spirit.
Mr. Abhishek Rai
Assistant English Teacher
Mr. Abhishek Rai, an Assistant English Teacher at Sacred Heart School since 2018, holds an MA and B.Ed. and brings over 15 years of teaching experience. Known for his dynamic and innovative approach, he is a strong team player. Outside the classroom, Mr. Rai enjoys cricket, reading and peaceful walks in nature on sunny days. On rainy days, he indulges in Netflix.
Mr. Prakash Yonzon
English Teacher, Middle School
Mr. Prakash Yonzon has been a valued member of the Sacred Heart family since 2017, currently serving as the Class Teacher for Grade 7A. With eleven years of teaching experience, he is passionate about his profession, believing it to be a noble path that shapes future citizens. His diverse background includes work with INGOs, NGOs, and private sectors, as well as valuable life experiences gained through field trips and stays in the lower Himalayan regions of Nepal.

Mr. Bidagdha Kumar Barik has been with Sacred Heart School since 2006, serving as the Coordinator for the Girls' Wing. His vision is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to tackle challenges in both academic and personal life. He encourages his team to continually improve the teaching and learning process through innovative methods.

Ms. Preeti Rai Chettri has dedicated the past 12 years to teaching middle school students. With an MA in English and a B.Ed., she excels in creating an inspiring and nurturing learning environment. Her commitment to guiding each student towards their fullest potential is reflected in her dedicated approach to education.
Ms. Alma Lakra
Hindi Teacher and Middle School Level Head (Girls Wing)
Ms. Alma Lakra has been teaching second language Hindi at Sacred Heart School for the past five years and holds a B.Ed. Grateful to be part of the school, she has gained valuable experience in teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving. Ms. Lakra previously served as the Girls' Wing Examination Head and now leads as the Level Head for their Middle School. In this role, she is committed to guiding her team of teachers in providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for success in high school and beyond.
Mr. Avijit Mazumdar
Computer Teacher and Level Head (Middle School Boys)
Mr. Avijit Mazumdar, with over 25 years of experience, teaches Computer Science to classes VI-IX and serves as Level Head for Middle School boys (classes VI & VII). He is also the House Master of Nehru House (classes IX-XII) and has represented the school as an Inter-School Quiz Master.
As Level Head, Mr. Mazumdar is committed to fostering a supportive environment that promotes academic excellence, creativity, and character development. He emphasizes student-centered learning, teacher growth, and collaborative innovation, encouraging his team to embrace new methods and technologies. His goal is to empower students to become confident, curious, and compassionate individuals.
Ms. Nikita Sarkar
Primary and Middle School Bengali Teacher
Ms. Nikita Sarkar is a dedicated and self-motivated educator with effective communication skills and a passion for recitation and cultural events. She currently teaches Bengali to primary and middle school students and is a member of the examination department of the primary wing. With 3 years of experience as an Assistant Teacher, Ms. Sarkar also excels as a professional vocalist, bringing a creative and dynamic approach to her teaching and extracurricular activities.
Ms. Shiwani Giri
Mathematics Teacher
Ms. Shiwani Giri, with an M.Sc. in Mathematics and a B.Ed., has been teaching middle school math for the past year. Passionate about making math both enjoyable and accessible, she aims to build a strong foundation in math concepts while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in his students.
MR. RAJAT KUMAR MAHATO
Robotics Teacher
Mr. Rajat Kumar Mahato holds a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and has completed an internship at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), where he contributed to technology-driven research projects.
He’s passionate about teaching Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, programming, electronics, and 3D design through hands-on, project-based learning. His goal is to inspire students to think creatively, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills and confidently embrace the technologies of the future.

Mr Rohan Chettri is a dedicated Computer Teacher at Sacred Heart School, Siliguri, with 6 years of experience inspiring the next generation of tech innovators. I hold an MSc in Computer Science, graduating as a University Silver Medalist from University of North Bengal. I love bringing that same passion for learning into my classes, turning complex coding and tech concepts into fun, practical lessons.
