The Department of English organised the Annual Interhouse English Speech Choir Competition 2026 at the Boys’ Hall, bringing together the four Boys’ Houses and four Girls’ Houses for an afternoon of poetry, expression and teamwork.
Each House presented a literary piece, showcasing creativity, voice modulation, expression and coordination. The Boys’ Houses stood out for their imaginative presentations, while the Girls’ Houses impressed with their poise and coordination.
Results:
- Boys’ Houses: Tagore (89 points), Gandhi (80), Nehru (77) and Netaji (75).
- Girls’ Houses: Naidu (91 points), Cama (88), Teresa (87) and Nivedita (86).
The competition was a collective effort of the students, House Masters and Tutors, and English teachers, providing a meaningful platform for students to develop their communication skills and explore literature through performance.
