The award, named after the late Francis Fanthome, former Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE, honours educators and leaders who have made a lasting impact through their vision, leadership, and service to education.
Sacred Heart School has transformed from a modest rented house in Kurseong into one of the most respected institutions in the region. When it started in 1997, people say the school had more dreams than desks.
Today, thanks to Anil Sir and Priyakee maam’s vision and energy it proudly accommodates over 500 students and 150 staff members on a sprawling, modern campus.
An advocate of educational excellence, Mr. Gupta has served with distinction in several prestigious associations. He has held key positions in AHLIS, ASISC, and was the Founding Secretary of AHISCS North Bengal Region.
The event was graced by Raju Basnet, Hon’ble Education Minister of Sikkim, as the Guest of Honour. The occasion was also attended by Sailesh Pandey, Secretary of ASISC for West Bengal, Sikkim, and the North Eastern States. Among the keynote speakers and dignitaries present were Hon’ble Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai of the High Court of Sikkim, Dr. Jagannath Patnaik, Vice Chancellor of ICAI Sikkim, Prof. Ujjwal K. Chowdhury, Pro Vice Chancellor of Techno India University and more.
