These activities foster a greater understanding and appreciation of global cultures, promoting inclusivity and respect. Service clubs like the Key Club, Environmental Club, and Community Service Club offer students the chance to make a positive impact in the local community and beyond. Through volunteer projects and initiatives, students develop a sense of social responsibility and compassion.

Outdoor Activites

At our school, outdoor activities go far beyond recreation—they are designed to enrich students with experiences that build character, resilience, and a connection to the world beyond the classroom. One of our longest-standing traditions is the annual trek to Sandakphu for Class 10 students. Since 2002, this journey to the highest peak in West Bengal has challenged students physically and mentally, teaching them to adapt to changing altitudes, push their limits, and embrace basic survival skills. For Class 12 students, the adventure intensifies with the more demanding trek to Phalut, introduced just a few years ago. Often considered the final trip they take together as a class, it’s not only a test of endurance and teamwork but also a deeply emotional experience as they reflect on their shared journey and prepare for life beyond school.

We also believe in connecting classroom learning with real-world industry exposure. That’s why students are taken on educational visits to manufacturing units like tea factories and paper mills, where they witness firsthand how raw materials are transformed into finished products. These guided tours, supported by professionals who walk students through each stage of the process, provide valuable insight into industrial operations. This year, we’re expanding our scope by introducing visits to banking institutions, giving students a foundational understanding of financial systems and services—an exciting addition that ties directly into their academic learning.

Further enriching our outdoor education program is our participation in the International Award for Young People (IAYP), a globally recognized initiative that encourages holistic growth. Students engage in skill development, community service, physical activities, and adventurous journeys, all while working toward internationally accredited awards. This program instills independence, responsibility, and self-confidence, helping students become well-rounded individuals ready to take on the world.
